I was in town during Merdeka week for a meeting. Dropped by this place to get my fix of black coffee. Located at the lobby of The Gardens South Tower, 'The Fix' is another newcomer in the weekday-only cafe department providing quality brew towards the office demography. My sizzling cup of long black of the aptly named 'Wake Up' blend is satisfying enough to boost me up for the day.

Barista Terrence runs an impressive one man show of coffee brewery at the main entrance of Wisma Scope, providing the exact solution to the white collars' daily dose of caffeine crave.

#57 The Mad Alchemy

A one-time mobile espresso bar turned kiosk, The Mad Alchemy has settled its humble espresso-churning station at International Medical University, Bukit Jalil.

'The Mad Blend' was the name of the blend, which consists of Santos,  Kalosi Toraja and Ethiopian Sidamo. The result was a pleasantly smooth cup of liquid gold.

Newly opened in the often negligible The Weld, Brevis prides itself with its own unique take on specialty coffee: Air infusion coffee maker - as seen in bottom far left of the picture above. To put the words in an accessible manner, the air infusion brewer introduces air as an 'agent of turbulence' in enhancing the process of coffee/tea extraction, thus producing beverages that's tastefully rich and intensely aromatic. At least that's what I read from the Internet. Thank you.

This week's coffee stop: Pronto Grab And Go at Bangsar South.

Situated in one of the office towers at The Horizon Phase 2, the weekday-only cafe is a hard joint to spot within the perplexing labyrinth of office buildings.

With patrons comprising mostly white-collar workers, the place caters to their daily need for caffeine fix and grab and go meals, such as sandwiches and cakes.
