I visited Antipodean Cafe on two breakfast occasions: a merry family gathering and a date. Seasons might come and go, but one thing stays the same for this local breakfast culture pioneer - the crowd.
Perhaps this would come as a slight disadvantage for the short-sighted: the entire menu was written on the wall ala blackboard.
Occasion #1: Family gathering
We skipped coffee instead to sample a taste of the cafe's signature breakfast...
Eggs Malborough with Salmon (RM 23) |
Big Breakfast (RM 20) |
The scramble egg and mushrooms were pretty good, but that's 'bout it.
All Day Breakfast (RM 20) |
French Toast with Bacon & Maple Syrup (RM 18) |
Lastly, French Toast with Bacon & Maple Syrup is definitely not worth the price considering the very basic nature of the dish itself. The portion is definitely overpriced.
While some items were irregularly priced, it's pretty safe (and a smart move too..) to stick to the popular choice here.
Occasion #2: Breakfast date
Two Big Breakfast for two famished souls. And a great chat went all the way into noon.
