#68 Mitasu Japanese Restaurant

As always, I and Melissa Sunshine are total suckers for Japanese food, especially sushi and sashimi. Speaking of which, we went to Mitasu Japanese Restaurant that serves all-you-can-eat a la carte buffet. Located at Jalan Sultan Ismail's Central Plaza, the place was basically packed upon arrival (weekend I guess?). Fortunately, we managed to book our table a week earlier.

For the price of RM 53.90 +, we sampled a variety of fresh, raw Japanese dishes such as...

Fresh Oysters and Tiger Prawns

Sashimi selections that include Tuna, Salmon and Butter Fish.

Half-Grilled Salmon and Salmon Teppanyaki

Fried Prawns (Ebi-style)

Squids...

Sushi...

Chawanmushis..

Dessert: Green Tea and Black Sesame Ice-Cream.

There's definitely a standard level of quality in the preparation of the dishes. Nonetheless, we were stuffed at the end of the day.

#66 GSC D-BOX

Imagine watching your movie on MotionMaster seats, with only less intense jolts and vibrations - that's D-BOX. Newly installed within GSC 1 Utama's THX-certified Hall 3, GSC D-BOX provides moviegoers what the advertisement would call - an immersive experience.

My take: Only go for action movies and I only mean the ones with high kinetics and special effects, preferably the craptastic Transformers series.

So, every D-BOX leather seat is equipped with a MFX (Short for 'Motion Effects' I guess?) level for you to control the intensity of the vibrations, you can try all three levels to see which is the one that gives you the 'kick'. For me, the maximum it can go is much no difference to a massage chair, the bad ones.Watching a film with so much emotions like ' Interstellar' on D-BOX was a stupid move, or at least that was what I felt. The vibrations were less frequent and the movements weren't 'atmospheric'
enough and up to par, especially with the film's gorgeous space landscape. Needless to say, my RM 31 flew away like a paper plane.

#65 TGV Indulge

Hey peeps!

Today I'm gonna do a review on TGV Indulge, TGV's very own premier cinematic experience.

With shades of purple here and there, TGV Indulge 1 Utama combines both fine dining concept and high-end movie theater into one luxurious experience to remember.

With each ticket priced at hefty RM 45, it's better to catch quality flicks (perhaps a 3-hour epic?) in order to get your money's worth. For me, it was Christopher Nolan's Interstellar. Feel free to read my review HERE.

Before going into the theatre, let's see what else TGV Indulge has to offer...

Famished patrons can drop by the restaurant to have Asian-Western fusion à la carte items or help themselves with occasional buffet meal.

Or chill out at the lounge. It really is your call at the end of the day.

TGV Indulge houses two theatre screens. Each theatre is well-equipped with comfy couches, clean blankets and of course, side tables with call button for waiter service. Warm hospitality is just one button away.

Spacious and comfortable, every reclining plush seat comes with an automated seat controller, cup holders and of course, a purple blanket for you to snuggle under during the movie.

Yes, I nearly dozed off halfway through the movie. The air conditioning system, the seat, the headrest, everything falls perfectly into places.

Not a great place for the movie-loving crowd (especially sleepyheads with bad case of narcolepsy...), but definitely a must for the ones with their stylish taste for comfort, privacy and luxury.

Relocating from its shady spot of Persiaran Ritchie, TLP has finally secured its new foot at IKON Connaught,
